My favourite part of any restoration is comparing the appearance of a house when it entered my workshop, to how it looks when it leaves!
See below a few before & after shots of some of the wonderful houses I’ve had the pleasure of working on.

Repairs to fill in a corner where a chunk of wood was missing!

Shaving and chiseling down by hand..

Handmade molding to replace the missing one

Fixing in place

Ready for staining and waxing to match the existing finish

All the wood needs to be rubbed down to remove old wax and laquer

Ready for re-staining and waxing!

First coat of wax done, a couple more to go..

The detailing really starting to come through

Some projects just need a little TLC. Rather than completely renovate, we restore what was there before. Often that involves carefully cleaning decades old paint...

Our methods involve careful wet and dry sanding. This particular house benefited hugely from this.

This quaint little house had an all over clean, the roof repaired and touched in, and chimneys revamped.

The frame was missing its doors when it came to us. The ones you see here are handmade replicas of the original.
